Circulation is a very important factor to the evolution of a great tank. The theme and coral livestock of the aquarium determine the speed of flow. In my mixed SPS/Softies tank, I will need minimal flow to the area on the right which is where all my softies and LPS will grow. The left stony coral side will need medium to high flow. In the diagram below, I have outlined the different pumps and direction of flow. It is in my best interest to not add any powerheads to the aquarium as it's aestheticaly an eye sore. This is to be determined as time passes by and the needs for those corals.
